Hinton YouthLead Academy

The Hinton YouthLead Academy equips high school youth to be impactful servant leaders by helping them: identify their gifts, abilities, and passions; discern their calls to ministry; develop skills to enhance their effectiveness; and navigate the unique opportunities and challenges of contextual ministry. Hinton YouthLead Academy:

• Is for United Methodist high school youth, who demonstrate giftedness in the area of leadership, as seen in their ability to influence others in working together to achieve a common goal.
• Because mentoring and coaching provided by trusted adults is significant in a young leader’s development, each youth participant will be accompanied by at least one adult from their church willing to mentor them for a year. Or, the student can be accompanied by a youth leader who will mentor them or help them find a mentor in their congregation.
• Registration will be limited to 20 student leaders, along with their mentors and/or youth leaders.
