Swing for Hinton, Swing for Hope — limited to 72 golfers
What started as part of Hinton’s 60th anniversary celebration in 2021, the “Swing for Hinton, Swing for Hope” tourney is becoming a much-anticipated event for both golfers and community members in our rural mountain area of Appalachia in Hayesville, NC.
Not only does the tournament offer participants a scenic course for play at Mountain Harbour Golf Club, it also provides a unique opportunity for community, as golfers, sponsors, residents, volunteers, and Hinton Center staff join in celebrating our region’s assets and the ways in which we can “walk alongside” our neighbors in need, making our community a thriving one for all of its residents and visitors.
Signs at each hole highlight the ways Hinton serves and supports our neighbors in Clay and Cherokee counties in NC and Towns County, GA.
Players: Each golfer receives breakfast and lunch, bottled water, and swag bag of treats from our sponsors. Enjoy a fun day of play in a beautiful mountain setting. Highlights include: prizes; special hole competitions (low score, closest to pin, longest drive); day-of purchases of mulligans and 100-yard advance (#8) and raffle tickets (cash or check only).
Sponsors: Local businesses, organizations, and individuals can support the significant work of Hinton in our rural community, as well as promote their own products and services. Build relationships and potentially increase customers.
- Drivers/$400 — single sponsorship of a hole, large sign with sponsor’s name, your unique prize(s) for special competition at your hole (ie low score, closest to pin, etc)
- Chippers/$200 — only two sponsors at your assigned hole, advertising, sponsor name sign
- Putters/$100 — unlimited number of sponsors at your hole, sponsor name sign
