The Mutual Self-Help housing program does in fact put families in new well built homes which is generally a big improvement from their previous housing conditions. However the goal of the program is much more than just putting a roof over the heads of our new homeowners. The goal of the program is to start these families on a lifetime path of financial stability and generational wealth building. Just as most Americans have used their homes to build personal equity and wealth, the Mutual Self-Help program is giving low-income families the same opportunity.
