Are you looking for a unique gift?
Searching for out of the ordinary home décor?
Are you interested in your money helping a struggling artisan educate and feed their family? Shop where your money will make a difference in the lives of artisans and their families.
Visit Hinton Center’s gift shop, World Crafts & Gifts, where you will find hand-made crafts from 35 countries. Items include: wood carved boxes from India, silk scarves from Vietnam, onyx sculptures and candleholders from Pakistan, sterling silver jewelry from Mexico and Indonesia, Christmas ornaments as well as a variety of interesting and unique nativity sets from all over the world.
World Crafts & Gifts features crafts from nonprofit Fair Trade Organizations such as SERRV, Ten Thousand Villages and MayaWorks. Every purchase directly helps improve working conditions and access to healthcare and education for the artisans and their families by offering them fair wages for their crafts. Purchase a gift from these organizations to provide income, dignity and hope to people in developing regions of the world.
All proceeds from World Crafts & Gifts support Hinton Center’s ministries. Hinton Rural Life Center is a non-profit mission agency of the United Methodist Church, serves small membership churches and rural communities, provides opportunities for missional involvement, and is a place of hospitality, spiritual growth, and renewal. Hinton Center’s service in the local area includes home repairs and new home construction.
